Our recent project with Laura Lewis Financial marked a significant milestone for Vero Studios: our very first overseas shoot. Partnering with Make Digital Count, we traveled to Belfast to capture the essence of Laura’s work and the unique atmosphere she creates for her clients. This blog post shares the journey, the creative process, and the moments that made this shoot memorable.

The Journey Begins: From Flight to First Shots
The day started early with a flight from our home base to Belfast. Arriving fresh and energized, we headed straight to Laura’s office. The excitement was palpable.
Once at Laura’s office, we set up for the interview sessions. Our goal was to create hero videos and reels that would highlight Laura’s expertise and approachable style. To add visual interest and variety, we filmed from two different angles. This approach allowed us to capture subtle shifts in expression and body language, making the final videos more engaging.
Capturing the Heart of Laura’s Office
Beyond the interviews, we spent time filming b-roll footage around the office. This was crucial to show Laura’s connection with her clients and the comforting environment she fosters. We focused on details like the cozy seating areas, personal touches in the decor, and moments where Laura interacted naturally with her team.

These shots help tell a story beyond words — they reveal the atmosphere that makes Laura Lewis Financial stand out. The warmth and trust that clients feel when they walk through the door became a key visual theme.
Exploring Belfast Through the Lens

No overseas shoot would be complete without showcasing the location itself. Belfast’s stunning streets and historic architecture provided a rich backdrop for additional footage. We
filmed in and around the city, capturing scenes that reflect its character and charm.
This part of the shoot added depth and context to the project. It connected Laura’s local roots with the broader community she serves, making the videos feel grounded and authentic.
Laura’s Feedback and Reflections

After a full day of filming, Laura shared her thoughts on the experience. She expressed satisfaction with how the shoot went and appreciated the relaxed atmosphere we created. Her words captured the essence of our approach:
“Gabriel made me feel like a camera wasn’t even there.”
This feedback means a lot to us. It confirms that our focus on making clients comfortable and capturing genuine moments pays off in the final product.
Wrapping Up and Looking Ahead

As the day ended, we caught an evening flight back home. The journey was long but rewarding. The footage we gathered offers a rich foundation for the next phase: editing. We’ll dive into that process in our upcoming blog post, sharing how we bring all these elements together to tell Laura’s story.
This project was a valuable experience for Vero Studios. It expanded our horizons and strengthened our collaboration with Make Digital Count. We look forward to more opportunities to create meaningful content in new locations.
